English Grammar Learning in Bangla | Sentence

A word or a group of words which makes a complete sense is called a sentence.

পরিপূর্ণ অর্থ প্রকাশক শব্দ বা শব্দ সমষ্টিকে Sentence বলে।

He is a good boy.
I read a book.



Parts of Sentence (বাক্যের অংশ):

1. Subject (যার সম্মন্ধে কিছু বলা হয়)
2. Predicate (Subject সম্মন্ধে যা কিছু বলা হয়)

He is a good boy.
His parents sent him to school.

Kinds of Sentences : 
বাক্য সাধারণত পাঁচ ধরণের। যথা:

1. Assertive Sentence (বিবৃতিমূলক বাক্য)
2. Interrogative Sentence (প্রশ্নসূচক বাক্য)
3. Imperative Sentence (আদেশ-অনুরোধমূলক বাক্য)
4. Optative Sentence (প্রার্থনামূলক বাক্য)
5. Exclamatory Sentence (বিস্ময়সূচক বাক্য)

এই পাঁচ প্রকার বাক্যের প্রত্যেকটিই আবার দু ভাগে ভাগ করা যায়। যথা:
1. Affirmative Sentence (হ্যাঁ -সূচক)
2. Negative Sentence (না -সূচক)

Assertive Sentence (বিবৃতিমূলক বাক্য)
I go to school.

Interrogative Sentence (প্রশ্নসূচক বাক্য)
What is your name?

Imperative Sentence (আদেশ-অনুরোধমূলক বাক্য)
Open the window.

Optative Sentence (প্রার্থনামূলক বাক্য)
May Allah bless you.

Exclamatory Sentence (বিস্ময়সূচক বাক্য)
Hurrah! We have won the game.
