What is Barrister:
A Barrister, also known as Barrister-at-law or Bar-at-law is a type of lawyer in common law jurisdictions. A barrister, who can be considered as a jurist, is a lawyer who represents a litigant as advocate before a court of appropriate jurisdiction. A barrister speaks in court and presents the case before a judge or jury. In some jurisdictions, a barrister receives additional training in evidence law, ethics, and court practice and procedure.

You can start your journey to become a Barrister after completing HSC Staying in Dhaka. 

1.  For HSC students, there are 12 subjects in LLB under 
     University of London. 
2.  For BA/MA/MBA/BBA, there are 09 subjects. 
3.  No Exemption is granted for Bangladeshi LLB/LLM 
     passed. 

Remember that no LLB degree from Bangladesh is considered by the UK authority. So you should start with LLB under University of London, and obviously it is possible to do as such even staying in Bangladesh. 

Law as a Profession in Bangladesh as well as in the world.

In Bangladesh, you can enter into this profession after completing HSC, DEGREE, HONOURS, and MASTERS in any subject.

Becoming Lawyer in Bangladesh:
In Bangladesh you have to complete LLB degree first from any public, private or affiliated colleges of national university of Bangladesh and secondly you have to appear before the Bar council exam for the enrollment as an advocate. Then you can continue practices as a lawyer in any court of Bangladesh.

Becoming a Barrister From Bangladesh

Barrister is the British qualification. Anyone can achieve it even staying in Bangladesh studying at any British university in the United Kingdom. But you have to stay in London compulsorily at least for 9 (nine) months for practical experiences at the law firm in London.

Barristers’ Association of Bangladesh (BAB)
Barristers’ Association of Bangladesh (BAB), established in 1960, is a non-profit making organization in Bangladesh. The BAB has been working for the development of legal profession, and enactment of suitable legislation in the country. Moreover the BAB is centre of barristers of all generation. ‘Always for Justice’ is the slogan of BAB.

The Steps for becoming a Barrister:
Step 1:
Achieve LLB degree from any university recognized by UK government. Any students from Bangladesh can achieve LLB from the University of London staying in Dhaka and appearing LLB exam at the British Council in Dhaka for which students have to pay additional exam center fee of £43 per exam sitting. 

One can complete his or her LLB from the University of London by passing in the nine law papers for which one has to pay approximately of £1800.

Step 2:
Attend the "Bar Professional Training Course" in London that needs one year of full time study or two years of part-time study. Graduates other than law disciplines at the university can also go for training just after doing a conversion course on law.

Step 3: 
Attend pupilage at a barrister’s chambers.

Step 4:
Achieve tenancy at a barrister’s chamber as a self employed barrister.

After that you can become a Barrister.

Becoming Barrister after HSC:

The students who have completed only HSC they have to do a diploma course on basic law after that they will get into admitted in the LLB courses for applying the "Bar professional training courses". It will take two years to complete Diploma course and two/three years to complete  in LLB courses.
